Grk is a native grape variety cultivated on the sandy soils of Lumbarda on the island of Korčula where it grows [and ripens] at its best.
Some think that it was brought to Korčula by the ancient Greeks around 500 BC, while others believe that it was named for the pleasant tart finish of the wine (grk is the Croatian for tart or bitter).
Plavac Mali is one of the most important grape varieties grown in Dalmatia, a region in southern Croatia. It is native to the middle and south of Dalmatia, where is also called Pagadebit Crni. Its parents are the Crljenak Kaštelanski (Zinfandel) and Dobričić varieties, both also native to Dalmatia.
Family run pension „Marinka“ offers accommodation in four double and six single bedrooms. Pension is located only 50 m from the sea shore and roughly 300 m from the wine estate. Besides these, there are three three bedroom self-catered apartments located in the house 800 m away from the pension.
Pansion „Marinka“ provides half board (breakfast and dinner) where guests may enjoy superb domestic cuisine and praised wines of the house. Stay assured that cordial hosts will make your stay a memorable one.
